Adrian Pickard


One of the first Officially Certified Ableton Trainers, Adrian Pickard is a professional DJ, producer & studio engineer and works for Juno Records in London. He has toured extensively throughout Europe & Australasia as a DJ, product specialist and technical consultant working with and featuring alongside some of the most revered names in the industry.

The former Head of Technics DJ Academy, he has worked for the likes of Tech Music School, Innovative Music, DMC Records, Access To Music, School of Sound Recording, Faze 2, as well as appearing as a guest demonstrator for Ableton/Novation at BLOC Festival, Palm Expo in Beijing, London International Music Show, Liveschool and SAE Institutes across Australia.

He runs Livetek; a dedicated digital DJ and electronic music production company based in London.

This workshop will cover Ableton Drum Rack features. During the workshop we will design a comprehensive Drum Rack with an extensive feature-set and show how to effectively MIDI assign parameters to function in a similar way to other hardware based drum machines.

Drum Rack theory

Drum Rack design

Samples + manipulation

FX Processing

Creative MIDI mapping techniques

Adrian is also an official product specialist for Keith McMillen Instruments and will also be demoing the QuNeo controller as well as providing one of the first opportunities in the UK to look at Abletons new Live 9.
